May I make a Coffetable Book that includes photographs of historic city landmarks? I.E Parks, graveyards, libraries, etc. Would I need some sort of legal permission to include photographs of these places in a for-profit book? I live in Kalamazoo, MI, and this book would include landmarks from throughout southwest MI.

My response:

You need no special permission, or permission at all, to take pictures of anything you like. But, if your pictures include specific people, make sure you get signed permission to use their likenesses.

Have at it !

Good luck with your book.
