Personal car contract

6 months ago I signed a contract with a friend of the family to purchase her mini-van. I felt I was getting in over my head and now it is clear. Several things have went wrong with the van and I can no longer afford it. I believe that I paid to much for it a fact i didn't know until afterward because I had very little knowledge of cars. Is there a way out for me.

I know there must be hundreds of answers to exactly this or vey similar problem in the archives.
