i was in the bahamas during the recent hurricane my rate was supposed to be 165.00 per night buy 3 nights get 4th free w/ 100.00 food and beverage credit. at front desk i was given a price of 108.00 per night + food and beverage credit- cool i signed! because of the hurricane we had no maid service for 3 days but for each day we were charged a 7.00 maid service and 3.50 maid gratuity, we also had no power for a day and a half but were charged 10..00 energy surcharge for those days, on top of that the only power in the hotel was to the casino- we couldn't even flush a toilet or drink water! they served warm lunch meat sandwiches for 10.00 each. for our entire stay(7 days) of the six or so resturaunts and one club only the buffet was open our room was flooded and smelled horrible we couldn't even get air freshener. we finally after multiple complaints got to talk to some one who could do something and she gave us a 100.00 credit slip for our room.the day we checked out the computers were down(of course) so they couldn't get our bill up to give us a break down of fees- they told me to sign a blank credit slip with my debt card # and they would charge nothing untill they had e-mailed my break-down.well they went ahead and charged anyway.with out ever e-mailing anything and i only found out a week later when i was over 950.00 short in that account so i have e-mailed my complaints to them and i was told i would have a response in 7-10 business days that was on the 28th of november. still no response! i would appreciate any help you can offer. thank-you

You do have a claim against them, but I doubt that you can do anything about it.

If they were not in the Bahams, you could take them to Small Claims court. As it is, you could hire an attorney in the Bahamas to sue them, but the amount is probably not enough to warrant that.

Have you tried comp[laining to their US corporate office? Complain to your credit card bank and they will withhold the amount in dispute from your bill until they investigate.
