What are the legal implications of having two businesses tied together by the use of an assumed name certificate. If there were a partnership and a corporation and the partnership has a DBA to operate under the corporations name, does that legally mean that the partnership can be attacked by a creditor that has a judgement against the corporation? Does the liabilities of the corporation become those of the entity or person who has the DBA?
