My x-husband and I took out a vehicle on lease 3 yrs. ago. We are now divorced. I was the borrower and he the co-borrower. This was his vehicle to drive, and it was awarded to his possesion and states so in the divorce decree. He is now going to turn the leased vehicle in and has said they will hold me responsible for any due balances, over mileage, repairs and such being the borrower. Am I first responsible being the borrower? Can the bank come after me if it is in his possession? Do I have any rights? Can I take him to small claims court?
