Ordered a screen door, was put on the schedule about 6 wks out, recvd no paperwork, contract, only a verbal bid. Spouse decided to get new doors. Called to cancel service, was told ok. A few days later got a bill for "custom" made doors, a stocking fee and chg for measuring.
Was never told that the doors were "custom". The person told me my doorways were "standard". No down payment was required, no contract or paperwork ever sent.
Am I responsible? Company acknowledge this is their procedure and that I must "Let my conscious be my guide".
