I am preparing to register a business. If register as a Sole Proprietor, can I later convert it to a different form (Partnership, LLC or Corp). Thanks in advance.

You would also need to know that when you change entity types, you would need to file for a new EIN from the IRS, as well as notifiy any other state agencies you are registered with.
