I own an IT consulting corporation in Illinois (1 employee, me). I want to start some consulting for home-users, but under a different name and separate company to protect my main business. If I create a second corporation and have all its stock owned by my current corporation, is my current corporation at risk from any lawsuits the first corporation may encounter?
