Is money paid in the form of Expense Checks taxable, either Federal, State or Local.

Thank You,

I would like to know this as well. I worked for 1 day doing consulting and they sent me a 1099-MISC for the full amount of my check (including travel expenses). After I enter that info. into TurboTax, my refund goes down substantially to where the whole consulting job wasn't worth doing in the first place! Any ideas? Thanks!
