You need to send them any and all information showing you supported her. If she was in school, then you need to send school records, etc. That is about all you can do, and then wait to see what they decide. Who had legal custody of her? When I went through that, my ex and I had joint custody of my children. I sent them everything I had from that year. And received a letter stating no changes would be made to the taxes I filed that year. Which means, he is the one who owes them money. Good luck.
