My ex is an OTR truck driver...owner operator. He claims he is self employed and files huge deductions. I say he is employed by the companies he drives for. Companies pay him a higher rate per mile because he owns his own rig. He changes jobs very often and some have even offered benifits.

I have a copy of his last year's tax return and he has completed "schedule C" but also had W-2's.

I feel he is using "self employed" as a way to avoid paying a higher child support amount.

Any insight would be apreciated.

Thanks

Kim
