my wife sells candles, her income this year was more than costs of selling them. as long as she makes money each year, will this still fall under as a business or hobby according to the rules.
is someone sending her a 1099 for the sales of the candles? either way, report the income and expenses on schedule C; forget the hobby loss rules as this is a business (at a minimum, this is your tax strategy for treating the income). you can then draw in all of hte other benefits of small business deductions.
