Are you required to pay capital gain on the sale of property if buying a house?

i live in georgia. i own property (raw land) and a home. i would like to sale the home and the property and purchase a single family home. are capital gains taxes required on the gain from the sale of the land?

If the land is separate from your home, then you would be liable for capital gains tax on the sale of the land.
