I was trying to become a legal guardian for my nephews. When the state ran a background check it came back stating I had drug charges. These charges should not have been listed because there are not true. I was never caught with any drugs. The police officers lied to get me indicted on those charges. If those accusations were true, I should have done time which I haven't. I've lost numerous jobs due to this falsified information including getting guardianship of my nephews. This needs to stop! I must get my record cleared of this. How can I live let alone provide for my family when this is holding me back. How can I get help in doing so? Please help

My response:

Contact a criminal law attorney for a consultation to retain the attorney to file for an "expungement" of your criminal record. The papers he/she files will determine whether or not you qualify under your State's statutes and, if so, have your record cleared. This should cost you somewhere in the neighborhood of $2,000.00.

Good luck to you.
