Received a letter from DA re: theft by check for $68 (over 2 years ago, 1st notice rec'd. There is a warrant saying I didn't appear. I called to take care of..I can pay the check but I have to "turn myself in" for the warrant. Why can't I just go and pay for it...Do I need an attorney? The warrant is for $350 - I am in TX
