In Texas, after a warrant for arrest is filed, how long does the law enforcement agency have to serve the warrant and arrest the person, especially if they know where the person lives and works? What is "timely"? And if not served in the appropriate time, can a Motion for Dismissal be filed?

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

About timeliness: check with your public defender's office. As to possible dismissal, rare. Sometimes if the police are very very unreasonable, then yes, there will be dismissal. Check with the public defender's office about court practice in your state and county.

Hope this helps.
