I am the beneficiary of a private annuity. The decedant was 84 years old. Is this deductible on line 28 - New York Income Tax Form IT-201?

If the annuity was from a qualified pension fund, IRA or other periodic payment for services the decedent performed as an employee, then you can deduct the annuity income on line 28, up to a maximum of $20,000.

For more details, see the instructions to NY Form IT-201 at page 21.
