What is the name of your state? Michigan

Long story short, I filed a small claims complaint for non-payment of a bill and I filled in the incorrect amount of money. This was a mix up on my part. The amount I filed was about 2,000 more than the allowable amount.

I've tried to find some answers about what is going to happen because of this mistake. It looks like it might be dismissed or moved to a civil court docket, but I'm not totally clear on this.

Also, if it is dismissed, what will happen and if it is dismissed am I totally barred from any futher recovery by using other avenues?

Thanks.

Call the Clerk , to see if you can Amend the amount .

If that's not an option , maybe withdraw your complaint and refile .
