My friend went to the dentist, was advised, step by step what was owed and paid when leaving office for work done that day. My friend was advised that the Dental office called the insurance company and was advised that a certain procedure would not be covered, but the dental office never advised the patient of this. Now the patient is being billed for the work. When he called the dental office, they advised to call the insurance carrier to find out why and when the insurance was called they advised who from the dental office called and who advised them that the procedure would not be covered. Once the dentist was advised of this, the dentist called the patient and lowered the bill... but is aware that they were wrong in not telling the patient that it would not be covered... IS THE PATIENT LIABLE FOR THE BILL? :mad
