What is the name of your state? New York
My husband was taken to small claims court and lost. We got the letter from the court stating that we have 35 days to pay the judgement. There is an "entered date" and an effective date. Which date do I have 35 days from, the entered date or the effective date?

Usually, it is the date that the judge signed the judgment, though some jurisdictions allow the date to start at the expiration of your allowed time for appeal (and the judgment becomes final on that date).
