Good morning
I went to South Africa a few months ago and went to the casino. I met a guy there who was playing on the machine next to mine. We started talking and having a few drinks. I live in the USA. He was starting a new business and he had an idea which I was really interested inand felt that I could market it in the USA when I returned. We played next to each other for quite some time, chatted he kept on buying us drinks. I couldn't draw any more money from the Mac machine due to my daily limit and he offered to borrow me some and we could meet up a couple of days later and I could pay him back which I did. We met a couple of days later at the casino I paid him back. I kept a machine next to mine for him and because I told him to play that machine we made an agreement that if either one of us hit a jackpot we would split it. He hit one for R7200.00. I was losing again and he gave me R4800.00 with the promise that I would send him the money back as I was flying out the next day. After what the arrangement was about splitting the jackpot amount I figured I owed him R1400.00. He mentioned over the phone the other day that he is in trouble with the IRS so now he wants me to pay him $600.00=R5400.00 and he is threatening me with going to my boss and with legal action as he is getting the video footage from the casino. We verbally agreed in the casino about the split of the jackpot and in the video you will probably see him giving me the money. Please help me what are my rights? Does a casino have vocal footage? I don't want to lose my job over this stupid situation that I got into cause of stupidity, stress(I was in South Africa because my sister was diagnosed with cancer) and alcohol. Your help will be appreciated. Thank you

I am in ohio... He is in South Africa
With all do respect: The proper wording is "He loaned me some money".

I say this in-case you end up an a Vegas Court Room in a similar situation.

In this case..

U.S. Law Only

This is not a US Case.

I don't know how to do that. After I started getting responses on both I tried to delete one but I cannot see a button to do that
