My dilemma: I have a 2003 Acura Tl. In 11/2008 my transmission failed. I took it to a trans shop and had it rebuilt for $3,000+. Since then I have brought it back seven times to get the transmission rebuilt again, and being that trans is under warranty I never pay however I also never get a receipt, just my keys in the car with the car waiting outside for pickup. I know stupid me, I thought this was normal since technically I am not paying for warranty repairs.
Obviously now I want to go to small claims court to have them refund the money or pay to get it fixed correctly at the dealership. By law are they supposed to give me a receipt "or service record" for free warranty repair work? Also when I call them now to try to ask for copies of all of my old receipts they refuse saying that I had to request them everytime I picked up my car after repairs were done...is that even legal? I have the tow receipts showing everytime my car was towed there but in court I feel like I may need more...and I feel like they are just going to say that these seven return visits to rebuild the trans never occured. PLEASE HELP !!
