What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? washington state. I borrowed a loan from a friend 4 years ago and friend knew I would not be able to pay back monies, however we verbally agreed I would work it off, cleaning her home, babysitting and various other chores. I did this for 4 years. She is now harassing me for the monies I owe her. She is threating to take me to small claims court. Please advise,

It may really help you if you have evidence that this was the agreement and that it was paid. So, got any e-mails? Did you keep a record of how many hours that you babysat? How many hours of housecleaning?
How will you persuade the judge that you paid the debt with your labor?

Good luck
