I have a bench warrant out for my arrest due to missed court dates. I lived in Indiana where I owed a guy about $1000. He sued me but only had my moms address in Hoabrt, IN. I did not find out about these court dates until after the fact therefore I was a no show. I have entered into negotiations to settle this debt. My question is can this bench warrant be enforced upon me returning to the country? I have a job interview in Windsor, Ontario but do not want to go to jail upon entering back into the U. S. I do have a valid passport.
