What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
This is in relevance to this thread:https://forum.freeadvice.com/small-claims-courts-24/won-ebay-auction-have-not-paid-seller-threatens-lawsuit-428494.html#post2033360

So after not paying for the auction, I offered to pay for his listing fees. However, now he wrote in an email he wants listing fees PLUS money for the insurance he wasted (it has only been 7 days since the auction was over,) and compensation for his time for a total of 150$ OR he'll file a lawsuit. Should I pay him the money and be done with this? Or is this blackmail/ extortion?
