What is the name of your state? California.
I was awarded an $1800 judgement in August, 2004 against an automotive repair facillity for destroying my engine. I have been trying to collect for 2 years. I finally supoenaed them back with an order to show cause. They still would not disclose any information (location of bank account, etc.) and the judge was no help. I have since moved from the area, so going back to court is not an option. I believe the business has changed hands since the judgement was entered. Is the new owner liable for my judgement?
