Can i sue my exroommate for causing me to drop out of non-refundable college classes because of extensive stress brought on by her not paying her portion of the rent, which put us up for eviction almost every month. on top of this, she also stole a couple of my things, including my house keys and mail key, which i knew she did but she denied it to this day, even when i found it in her bag. She did so so that i could not be able to check the mail. is this a crime? this is only the beginning of what she has done. please help!

You can sue anyone for anything at any time anywhere. Whether you win is a different question.

You would have a tough row to hoe to prove that her actions caused you to drop out of school.

Go to court and try to convince the judge that what your ex did caused you to do what you did.

Don't expect to win.
