What is the name of your state? Ohio

I sent an item to someone to sell for me in Illinois. Things soured and I asked for my item back. This person refuses to return the item and has now listed it on ebay.

Can I file a claim against this person here in Ohio?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Yep, you can file anywhere you want. But you should be prepared in the event that the other party files a motion to dismissed based on lack of jurisdiction.... claiming that their state is the proper venue.
