What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? IL. PUrchased car from sis inlaw..beenmaking payments mnthly ..have 5 pymts left..for total of $4000. Title is at loan co being used as security. Want to pay off NOW but she won't cooperate. Feel she owes lots more than the $1000 I still owe on the purchase.What now?

If you can verify what you "feel", the best advice is to return the car to sis in law and find another vehicle. Consider what you have paid at this time as a rental fee.
