You don't need a lawyer to sue someone in small claims court.

I'm concerned that the mechanic is dishonest. It's been two weeks since he agreed to do the work but has done nothing yet. He seems to have a number of cars he does not work on. I'm expecting him to hit me with storage fees. What preparations should I take?
