California:

The owner of a Chicago limited company signed my behalf for a $6,500 tv contract. He was not entitiled to sign on my behalf and kept the money. The contract states:

"This license shall be governed by and subject to the laws of the state of California applicable to agreements entered into and wholly performed within California."

Can I take him to small claims in California even though he lives in Chicago?
