What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Washington.
I won a small claim against my prior land lord. She didn't show up at the initial hearing, has not responded to my calls and letters, and has gone past the 30 days where she was required to pay. I went to court and had my judgement certified and now have both a Small Claim No. and a Civil Claim No.
I have done research and have decided to to attempt to garnish her bank account. I have a canceled check from Wells Fargo with her bank account number on it. I do not want to go through a lawyer, as the amount of judgement is only $544.75 total (which is A LOT for me, but very little to them).
I have reviewed all the many, many garnishment forms available on www.courts.wa.gov/forms, but there is absolutely no instruction on how to fill them out, when to fill out which ones or even if I have enough information to begin garnishment at all. I have spent hours trying to figure this out on my own... please help!
