My then-girlfriend asked me for a loan of $5,000 to pay for her daughther's college tuition. I sign for her one of those credit card checks. The check is on her name and it was deposited to our joint checking account. It says loan on the Memo section but it also says she will make 21 monthly payments. She broke up with me two weeks later.
