What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Virginia
In November 2002 I went to Philadelphia with my now ex-boyfriend. He had to go there for a business trip. I brought my brand new laptop with me to have something to do at the hotel while he was at work during the day. The first night we were there, he asked me if he could take my laptop with him to work the next day so he could watch DVDs on his break. My answer was "I don't know - we'll see." When I woke up the next morning, he and the laptop were gone. That evening, he called me on the way to the hotel to tell me that someone had stolen my laptop while he was at work. I immediately wanted to call the police and file a report but he talked me out of it. Why, I'll never know. It's been over two years now and he still has not paid me back for the laptop. I know it's been a while, but is there anything I can do at this point? I waited this long to give him a chance to do the right thing, but now it's obvious that he won't. We have already been to court once for an unpaid phone bill in which the judge ruled in my favor.
I realize that it's probably too late but any advice would be great. My e-mail is [email protected]
Thanks,
Maggie
