My ex begged me to have a pair of my Seven for All Mankind Jeans ($165.00 Retail) and agreed to pay me $40 for them. People have seen him wear the jeans and I have the receipt for them.
We have since broken up and I want my money or the jeans returned to me. I have sent him an email asking for the jeans or $40 that he promised to pay me. Would the next step be a certified letter? What do I need to do in small claims court to get him to pay? How much time should I allow him to pay or return the property? Since I am a paralegal, can I bill him for my time as well?
