What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Texas
Ex husband and I had a house that when we seperated he stayed in and took over all bills. When he decided to move out-of-state he sold it and had a balance of approx. $7000 that was owed in closeing costs. I didn't know at the time he had taken out a loan to pay for this nor did he ever ask I pay any of it. Now he is mad over something irrelevant to the house and wants to sue me for half of the loan. It has been over a year since the loan was taken out and it is only in his name. Can he do that? Is there a statue of limitations?
Thanks! What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
