What is the name of your state? pa
i want to bring my old employer to small claims court to be able to get my last commission checks. they had been stalling for a while. now they are threatening to sue me for giving away proprietary information after I left the company. its a small company, and i never signed any paperwork about this while i was there. i was a subcontractor. they said they talked to an attorney and even though i didnt sign paperwork it doesnt matter. now they want me to sign paperwork saying i will give up all my commissions saying that will not press this matter any further.

my family thinks maybe i should sign it and let it go away. however, i don't know if they can really do anything. does anyone know? thanks for your advice!
