I am a home inspector in Oregon. I tried once to file a small claim against a client who wouldn't pay for her home inspection ($300), and when the police officer knocked on her door to serve her, she called 9-11 and said there was a cop harassing her: It was a waste of time for both of us.
I have the same issue now. How do I have this guy served--when he wont answer the door (or respond to a collections agency?) Certified mail?
