Thank you for the help on this issue. I hear opinions everyday, however in legal land, the legal meaning of words are very important. Even the United States Supreme Court produces nothing more than opinions, and any judge can easily disagree by simply stating his or her interpretation of that supreme court opinion. Law is about facts, not opinions.
Enjoy the moment

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
Court rules in favor of defendant (Baby Boomer) against plaintive city for frivolous parking ticket violation.
I suspect the court never used the term "frivolous," did they? So, about all you can say is you prevailed.

My intent is to file claim for all my expenses in small claims court. What say you?
Uh ... good luck?

I didn't read the thread but have a question:

was frivolous parking ever defined in the thread that this guy got a ticket for?

While I have had what I defined a frivolous ticket for parking, it was for parking where I was not allowed to park but frivolous parking? Never heard of the charge before.

OP should just be happy he doesn't live in my county... There's currently a $30 administrative fee added to every ticket, which is nonrefundable. Meaning that even if you contest the ticket and prevail, you still have to pay that administrative fee.
