What is the name of your state? New York.

I'm the plaintiff in a [smalls claims court]
lawsuit. Before going to small claims I filed
a complaint with the state (of NY) attorney
general, and the defendant submitted a response;
which the attorney general sent to me.

I want the defendant's response as an exhibit
in my case.

The defendant's attorney (I don't have an
attorney) wouldn't allow/approve/accept it.

I believe I just don't know the "magic" to
getting the judge to allow/approve/accept it.

What is the magic?
