What is the name of your state? New Jersey / Other Party is in PA........
I borrowed a little over $500 from a relative who I don't see very often because she lives in PA. It's almost 4+ years since I borrowed the money. She isn't rich but has more money than I do. I paid her back all but $100 which she told me to forget about when we went to the movies one night a few years ago.
Recently, she found the IOU I had given her. I never thought to ask her for it back when I paid her the $400.
Now she is harrassing me for the money. She is telling my other family members crazy stories about what I've said when we had family fights, etc. No one is talking to me because this woman is ruining my life! I paid her with checks and cash. Other than showing her the cancelled checks, what can I do? Do I need to repay her all over again?
Where do we have to go to court...in PA or NJ?
Please help! I have the emails she is sending me that are harrassing.
