He took car back... do I get money back?

What is the name of your state? Washington

About 6 months ago a guy I work with had a 98 escort for sale for 3500. I made him a offer of 200 a month till paid off. If anything happened to car I was still to pay it off. We never maid a contract, we did fill out the first receipt and bothed signed it. He told me if I ever couldnt pay just tell him. There was one month I couldnt like Oct, but since have been on time. Went there last night to pay his brother cause he was out of town( he says) and he says no he doesnt want the 200 he wants the car back. I asked why the hell? He says oh he has someone that is gonna pay cash. I was like um ok Is he payin me the 1000+ I have paid into it, he says I dont know talk to him. Then I go to leave and tell him I will call his brother and he says no my bro says if it leaves I call the cops. So now I am waiting for him to get back to ask him.

Do I have a solid case anyone think? with no contract just receipts and some good witnesses.

I was also thinkin about tapeing the phone call so hes on tape saying how much I have paid. Any Help very much thankfull

I assume you did NOT give him the car, correct??
Did you get the title in YOUR name or at least something to indicate your purchase???

If not, you were very likely 'renting' the car for $200 per month.

Why has he spent over $1.7M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

Since you no longer have the car, never had a bill of sale, never had a purchase contract, AND never had a title..... $200 a month to rent a car isn't too bad.
