What is the name of your state? OH

DH is being sued in small claims for an old credit card debt. Got lawyer advice and lawyer told us that along with the answer, we should file a motion to dismiss because the collection agency didn't show any proof of account, amount owed, or goods and services received. However, I just realized today that lawyer did not tell us whether the motion can be filed at the court ONLY or if a copy has to go to the plaintiff as well.

I need to get to the post office and courthouse by four o' clock today, so I need an answer fast!
