What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NY
I am in the process of trying to serve a Small Claims Complaint upon a LLC.
Initially, I tried serving this LLC by using the address the NY State Dept. of State had listed on it's website as...
"Selected Entity Address Information DOS Process (Address to which DOS will mail process if accepted on behalf of the entity)".
A short time later I received notice that the summons was returned marked "REFUSED, NOT AT THIS LOCATION".
Does anyone know what I try next? Also, if I can find the names of the officers of the LLC (and I don't currently know where to find this info.), could I sue the LLC by serving one of the LLC's officers personally?
Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated!
