What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MA
I am the plaintiff in small claims court. I won a judgment, now defendant is appealing. His only defense at the hearing was he "didn't want to be out any money"
Long story short:
I bought car from defendant
Did not pass Ma inspection
Brought back to dealer to fix
Car was totaled while in his possession
Defendant offered 2 different cars for replaced... I was not interested
in either car.
Dealer has no insurance for cars on his lot.
Will I need a lawyer at appeal? Who pays my costs for this appeal?

noho, my thoughts too, how can not having insurance be legal??? He says the car was parked on the main street (why not on his lot??) and it was a hit and run. I personally think this was done by dealer because it would cost him more than the car was worth to fix it.
