We live in Virginia, and my wife has a judment against her because she would not pay a contractor who was doing shoddy work in our home. The contractor had a lawyer and experience in court, plus he lied freely to make his case. In any case, she lost the lawsuit, and was required to pay the contractor.

She has chronic health problems, and does not hold a job. The house and our vehicles are in my name. I am not named in the lawsuit at all. What right, if any, does the contractor have to place liens on property or bank accounts that are only in my name?
