What is the name of your state? NC
Best friend and her boyfriend lived together. Planned on getting married. Were wearing the rings and lived as husband and wife.
Ex leaves and doesnt take every thing. Still has a key to her house and everything.
He is now sueing her for stuff that he left, stuff that is not there and never was and stuff she bought.
Tricky part
They bought stuff together on her credit card because she thought they were gonna be married. (stuff she never would have bought for herself or trusted him to pay for if not for the marriage to be) He purchased a few LARGE items as gifts for her. (promising they would be paid for in just a couple of months.) He did make payments till he left and he did make 2 or 3 payments after he left.
With proof that stuff was bought under the pretense of marriage and for her, can she sue him for what is owed?
