What is the name of your state? Ohio

Our small business is registered as an LLC Partnership. Our small company has been hit hard by customers not paying as agreed in contract. We have an attorney who advised us to send a particular customer a letter advising them that this was our last attempt to collect etc. Three days after they received letter by certified mail from our company, we received a letter from their attorney stating that the work performed was installed not according to the specifications of the manufactor. The letter threatened that the amount to fix this problem is $30,000. The letter also stated that work was not completed by our company. There is a very minimum amount of work to be done (approx 2 hours). The last day we were on the job, payment for our last draw was requested as the customer a couple days prior had signed a pre-completion acceptance form, which stated that this payment would be due upon signing, said form. On said form it there is space for the customer and contractor to list minor touch ups agreed to be completed. Which the following was listed, one piece of soffit needed to be fixed and also the raking of yard still needed to be completed. Which was being completed by one of our employees as owner of company was talking to homeowner about the draw payment due. Homeowner gave him a check in a sealed envelope and went in the house. When it was realized that the check was only for a small portion of what was due the customer would not come to the door. So the owner of our company, cleaned up tools, and told employee to stop working. This draw payment is over 60 days late, and the receipt of the letter received from there attorney was just a couple of days ago. What should we do at this point.

Our attorney advised us to wait it out.
