Grrrrrrrrrr - Is there a way to locate someone after they have fled/quit a job to avoid wage garnishment?
It has been sooooooo frustrating .
You go through all the legal avenues to get a judgement against someone and then can't collect. I don't have the money to hire a private investigator in order to locate them to collect via wage garnishment. Due to privacy acts, you can't get information from government agencies regarding new residence or employers. I have heard there is a way to locate someone using SS#'s.
So I have two questions:
1) Is there a way to locate someone when you have a claim against them?
2) Why isn't there a law that allows access to some of this information when you have a judgement against them?
