What is the name of your state? New Jersey
Our Organization held a fundraiser whereby a person purchased a ticket for 5.00 with a 3 digit number and the winner was determined by the NJ Pick 3 evening number (NJ has an afternoon drawing as well.) The person would win 50.00 or 100.00 as determined on the front of the ticket every day for the month of February. This is stated on the back of the ticket. Well, after the tickets were printed, the NJ Lottery decided to do what they call a "double draw" where they would draw another 3 digit number as a bonus. We were notified by a person who had the "double draw" number demanding to be paid. We explained that the ticket states the evening pick 3 not anything else and the person who had the regular pick 3 was paid for that day. Also it was a fundraiser for a girls sport organization and the girls appreciated the persons help. What a loser! no pun intended. Who knew the Lottery would come up with this 2nd drawing. Well anyway, the person said that they won and they will be taking us to small claims court. Do they have a case? Thanks!
